"Our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge."

Hello and thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am a Registered
Psychotherapist (RP) with the CRPO and it is my honour to work with Individuals and Couples navigating life’s challenges in ways that respect and affirm their identities, lived experiences, inner strengths and values.

I received my Masters of Science in Couple and Family Therapy from the
University of Guelph in 2010. For more than 10 years I have worked in a variety of mental healthcare settings with diverse populations that include children’s mental health with youth and their families, community healthcare settings with individuals
and couples and post secondary with young adults.

My work is anchored in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, person-centred practices and I am passionate about supporting people in healing from the effects of systemic oppression and anti-black racism. As a proud Jamaican-Canadian, I hold space in our work to explore how power, privilege and our intersecting identities shape and influence our lives. As a mother of two, I appreciate the importance of maternal mental health and as such have a special interest in  perinatal mental health among racialized communities. Other areas of interest include supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, racial trauma, body image issues related to internalized racism, interpersonal issues, life transitions and couples dealing with relational issues related toemotional and sexual intimacy and connection.

When we work together you can expect me to be deeply empathetic and curious about you and your story. My goal for each session is for you to feel heard, understood and respected. I look forward to working together to deepen your self-understanding in ways that will help you live a life in alignment with your core values and goals.
