Our Process

schedule consult

The work we do together may shift and change depending on your ongoing needs and focus for treatment.

We have an open door policy: we believe therapy should be collaborative, and can adjust to your circumstances as needed. We encourage you to ask questions, keep notes, practice what you have learned in therapy, and keep your engagement with the therapeutic process at a pace that makes sense to you.

Ongoing therapy

After assessment, you and your therapist will discuss your goals and a plan for treatment, including frequency of visits, therapeutic approach, and collaborate on the best way to support you and your needs in therapy.

Active feedback is important to us. We view therapy as a collaborative conversation. We will use our skills to support you by creating the environment for that to thrive.

When you begin therapy, we will assess your situation, needs, personality, strengths, and personal history. By gathering all this information, we can best evaluate what you are struggling with, and how it is affecting your well-being. This phase of gathering information usually takes one or more sessions and may include the use of psychological tests.

Assessment

When you reach out to us, we’ll work together to determine which of our clinicians is the right fit for your needs.

We offer both Psychotherapy and Psychological services (under supervision). During your consult, you’ll chat with your therapist about which stream is right for you. Learn more about the difference here.
