Life coaching and therapy serve different purposes, and sometimes, coaching may not be the right fit. Coaching is a professional relationship between a coach and an individual that co-creates life-changing results for the client. Your coach will support you with transformative conversations, provide resources, and offer personalized feedback to help you reach your desired level of awareness, ability and address your specific situation and desired life goals. Coaching provides a unique and empowering approach to personal growth and development. While coaching does not directly address the past, coaching acknowledges the impact of past experiences on your present life. It helps you create a safe and supportive space to address those impacts, allowing you to enjoy exploration and future growth. Coaching aims to help you move forward. We'll work together to identify your goals, calling and aspirations. We’ll then help you understand what might be keeping you stuck and how it is influencing your life and decisions as an adult. We will further address barriers to success and co-create plans and strategies that move you closer to your desired outcome.
It's completely understandable if you're not ready to talk about areas where you feel stuck. Trauma-informed coaching prioritizes your pace and comfort level. We will start by building a solid foundation of safety, trust and rapport. This might first involve exploring your current situation, identifying goals, and developing healthy coping mechanisms.
