I believe that much of our life satisfaction is centered around the quality of our important relationships. I help members of the BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ community to better navigate their relationships with the people in their lives. In this exploration process, we may work on unfolding intergenerational traumas, learning for the first time how to set boundaries and communicate assertively while also remaining sensitive to one's cultural background and identity. 

More specifically, I help clients that struggle with social and generalized anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, and past trauma to feel confident and equipped with the tools necessary to cope, grow, and heal.

My therapy approach is eclectic. I draw from many different modalities, depending on your needs and primary concerns (ex: CBT, mindfulness, sleep hygiene techniques, etc.). I value a humanistic approach and prioritize connection that is non-judgmental and empathy driven. My goal as your therapist is to create a safe and culturally aware space that honours your experience, culture and history. 

My ideal client is curious and ready to explore the therapy relationship. Working with me, you will be encouraged to develop goals, and I will gently challenge you in your self-exploration. Together, we will learn and practice healthy coping strategies for you to thrive.

Welcome to my page! Congratulations on making the first steps towards seeking treatment. Starting psychotherapy can be the biggest step in changing your life, whether this is your very first session or if you have been in therapy before.

If you are here, the chances are that something in your life is not sitting well with you at this time. Perhaps you are facing a serious challenge with certain relationships, work, school, mental health disorders, etc., and you are having trouble coping with them. Maybe you are feeling stuck, worried, or anxious and you just cannot seem to make enough reasonable progress on your own. The good news is that you do not have to be alone in what you are going through!

As a solution, we will work together to examine your life, identify the specific life struggles, and determine what steps we can take that will benefit you long-term. I am positive that you will find a culturally sensitive, anti-oppressive, and non-judgemental space to be the perfect environment to better understand not only your concerns and vulnerabilities, but also your strengths, certain cycles/patterns, personal goals, and progress.

Overall, part of creating change involves collaborating as a team to ensure that you are getting the most out of your therapy sessions. I strongly believe that you have the power to make the changes necessary to live a wholesome and fruitful life filled with purpose and meaningful relationships. I’ve worked for 7+ years in the Mental Health industry and graduated from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where I received my Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy.

As a licensed psychotherapist with the CRPO and OAMHP, I am skilled in CBT, Mindfulness, Solution-focused therapy, Anger management, and developing healthy coping strategies for Depression and Anxiety.
