My practice is specifically for Black/racialized people, Couples seeking emotional support to explore their self-image, improve their interpersonal skills, learn conflict resolution skills, to build healthy attachment styles, and LGBTQ+ folks.

As a narrative therapist, my intentions are to separate the person from the challenges affecting their wellness. This allows folks to redefine their relationship with difficulties, making way for new skills to coexist with their personal challenges. For those navigating intersectional identities, this is crucial to help reclaim the power in your story by safely expressing yourself on your own terms. With limited spaces for racialized and LGBTQ+ folks to be seen as their full selves, I encourage people to make their presence known in our conversation to make the experience as authentic as possible.

“I am ready to be seen. My silhouette is not enough.”

Fun Fact/ About Me

☕️ First time therapy tip:
Be mindful of your intentions going into therapy:
The first session can be nerve-wracking, but having a clear goal can ease the process. Therapy is a roadmap to a better self, where you and your therapist identify the steps for meaningful change. Setting goals helps keep you accountable and allows the therapist to provide the necessary support.

Therapy is a collaborative process:
Therapy is not one-sided. Clients and therapists work together to achieve the client’s goals. Clients are encouraged to share openly and receive feedback, fostering an emotionally safe space for growth and positive change.

Therapy isn’t a linear process:
Progress toward personal goals can be challenging and may include setbacks or detours. These fluctuations are normal and not failures. Both clients and therapists experiment with different strategies to find what works, and mistakes are part of the learning process.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions:
Therapists are human and have limitations. Just as therapists ask questions to understand clients, clients should feel comfortable asking questions to gain clarity. Asking about the approach or fit helps build trust and ensures the support aligns with your needs.
