Connect with Alia

Life can be overwhelming at times. We all want someone to listen—truly listen—without judgment. Someone who can help us feel seen, heard, and safe in our own skin. As a first-generation immigrant and a visibly Muslim woman, I understand what it means to feel out of place or disconnected—navigating the complexities of identity, belonging, and meaningful connection in unfamiliar environments. These lived experiences deeply inform my therapeutic work and help me approach each person with empathy, cultural humility, and care.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. As your therapist, I strive to offer a space where you can show up as you are, explore what matters the most to you, and feel supported every step of the way. I use a client-centred approach, where I emphasize your voice and experience in the process. I come with curiosity, openness, and a commitment to holding space for your true, authentic self. Whether you're working through pain, seeking clarity, or simply wanting to feel more at home within yourself, I’m here to walk alongside you on your healing journey.

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you.

My work is supervised by Liz Montgomery.

Fun Fact/ About Me

☕️ First time therapy tip:
It’s perfectly normal to take your time finding the right therapist for you. The most important thing is that you’re here. So, take all the time you need and ask as many questions as you would like, until you feel comfortable and confident.
