Life can be, at times, overwhelming and problems do not often just go away. Through an attentive and thorough therapeutic relationship we can address the barriers you face in your growth and self-development. I ask that you invite me to take this journey of self-reflection with you.
I utilize and value both traditional and non-traditional methods of healing and therapy to address the stress, anxiety and life stressors experienced in marginalized and culturally diverse populations. My professional development has focused largely on deepening my knowledge and understanding on how to better serve culturally diverse populations, specifically around trauma informed and strengths based care.
My approach to my clinical work is eclectic. The interventions we choose will be informed by your presenting concerns, your history as well as honouring your capability and needs.
My belief is that healing happens in relationship and that the client/therapist relationship is central to the healing process. I am committed to a practice that is invested in the healing of the body, soul and spirit. In our work together I hope to support and enable you to work through the issues causing you distress and inner conflict so you can grow, evolve and thrive.
My work is supervised by Dr. Hugo Stevenson, PhD CPsych. Learn more about Dr. Stevenson here.
