Hello and thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am currently a therapist in training at Bloom and completing my practicum for my Master of Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University. As a multiracial woman, I have Black, South Asian, and European ancestry and I approach the therapeutic process from a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed lens. In my practice, my role is to collaboratively work with you to develop ways to feel connected to your authentic self and support you in navigating challenges, through curiosity, compassion, and empowerment.
I believe in cultivating a brave space where we can explore environmental, relational, and emotional factors that may be contributing to distress in your life. Healing is a non-linear process and my hope is to engage in a journey with you that deepens your self-awareness while developing effective coping strategies. Your needs are valid and I am passionate about supporting you to recognize this through a non-judgemental and empathetic approach.
My work here is supervised by Meghan Watson, M.A, RP.

Hi there, my name is Vanessa. Thank you for visiting my profile! I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the province of Ontario. I’ve worked for 7+ years in the Mental Health industry and graduated from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where I received my Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy.
As a licensed psychotherapist with the CRPO and OAMHP, I am skilled in CBT, Mindfulness, Solution-focused therapy, Anger management, and developing healthy coping strategies for Depression and Anxiety. I provide emotional support to clients of diverse age ranges and cultural backgrounds in order to achieve their best possible selves. My goal is to provide a caring and safe environment in which you can set meaningful goals, as well as identify and explore issues that may be getting in the way of living a more fulfilling life and more satisfying relationships.
I am bilingual and offer services in both French and English. I am also experienced in working with historically disadvantaged and marginalized groups, including First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples, Black and South Asian POC, Indigenous peoples of North America, persons with disabilities, and those who identify as women and/or 2SLGBTQ+.
My therapy approach is eclectic, as I draw from many therapeutic modalities to suit your personal needs in treatment. I am humanistic, feminist oriented and anti-oppressive in my therapeutic approach. My goal is to provide you with the insights and tools you need to move forward and live to your fullest potential.
