Connect with Lisa

As a Black woman of Caribbean heritage and a psychotherapist-in-training, I approach therapy through a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and decolonial lens. My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins in a relationship with ourselves, our histories, and our communities.

Drawing from my background in social justice education and counselling psychology, I work collaboratively with clients to explore how systemic and relational factors shape their emotional experiences. My approach centers on curiosity, compassion, and empowerment, helping you reconnect with your authentic self as you navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and questions of identity and belonging.

Having worked for over two decades in public service and crisis intervention, I bring both lived and professional experience to the therapy room. I understand how societal pressures, intergenerational patterns, and burnout can erode our sense of self. In our sessions, my goal is to co-create a brave space where you can feel seen, supported, and grounded and where we can honour both your pain and your resilience.

My work is supervised by Meghan Watson, M.A., RP.

Fun Fact/ About Me

☕️ First time therapy tip:
You don’t need the “perfect words” to start therapy. Just bring yourself, exactly as you are. It’s completely normal to feel unsure about where to begin. In our sessions, we will slow things down, explore what’s coming up for you, and let the conversation unfold naturally. My role is to help you feel safe, grounded, and supported so you never have to carry the work alone.
